Kentucky-bred Filly by Sidney's Candy out of Nicks (Salt Lake)
We won a 6-way shake in our successful claim of Caliente Candy at Fair Grounds. The well bred 2016 Kentucky-bred filly is by multiple graded stakes winner Sidney's Candy and out of the Salt Lake mare Nicks who is a multiple stakes winner and producer of two other foals who are both winners. We have high hopes for the young filly, who picked up back-to-back wins for us at Oaklawn Park in her first runs off of our Fair Grounds claim. She followed up those wins with an impressive victory in her debut run at historic Churchill Downs. With a win at Ellis Park in Allowance company (July 6, 2019), Caliente Candy now has four wins at three different tracks in her last five starts. She is in the barn of trainer Danny Pish.

Ontario-bred Gelding by Lea out of Gimme The Crown (Medaglia d'Oro )
Maximus Lea was a yearling sales graduate of the prestigious September Keeneland Sale. The big gelding if by popular new sire Lea, who stands at Claiborne Farm. First crop yearling colts by Lea sold for an average price of nearly $110,000 at auctions across the country. The dam, Gimme The Crown, of our Ontario-bred gelding is an Allowance level winner on the track and dam of one other foal, a two year-old who is yet to race. He finished a closing 6th in his MSW debut at Evangeline Downs for trainer Justin Jeansonne. He should fit well in turf route races.
